Scale Vice for 1/48 scale Paddletug, Reliant

The Steam Tug Reliant had paddle wheels made from steel rims and wooden paddles. The channel where it operated had quite a lot of debris and flotsam and the paddles got damaged with use.

The black and white photos from the Reliant shows the large vice attached to the sponson of the tug that was used to hold paddles being repaired. The build photos show the scale vice being made from brass round and square tubing. It was flame soldered. The spindle is made from a 1,5 mm steel bolt.
